In America today, we rank 34th out of 35 countries in childhood poverty and millions of children are food insecure.
Maybe, just maybe, my Republican colleagues would consider holding a single hearing about how we improve the lives of American kids.
As President, I would read 10 letters a day sent to me by ordinary Americans. At the Obama Presidential Center, we’ll have some of the letters I read — and responded to — every night. I still get emotional reading them, and it’s one of my favorite exhibits.
One month after starting the war in Iran, this is the statement of the President of the United States on Easter Sunday.
These are the ravings of a dangerous and mentally unbalanced individual. Congress has got to act NOW. End this war.
Donald Trump votes by mail. But this week, he signed an Executive Order so you can’t.
Why? Because he is scared of your power, and he is scared of losing the midterms.
The man being assaulted was a guest at the house where Sgt. Walker of the Elyria Police Dept entered without a warrant, attempted to arrest the (wrong) man on an inactive warrant, then filed a falsified report claiming the man slammed the door shut on his hand which evidence shows did not occur.
ICE admits to sexually assaulting detained protesters—brags that "she liked it."
"That's the one that grabbed my tit," woman cries. "She full titty grabbed me!"
"Yeah, you liked it," agent beams with pride. "I remember you were shivering and crying in there."
If they treat U.S. citizens they detain like this—imagine what they do to immigrants behind closed doors.
The incident occurred outside the ICE Facility in Portland, Oregon.
ICE killed a teacher in Georgia today when they chose to chase a man who posed no danger and had no criminal history.
Linda Davis was killed by ICE today. A Black woman, a beloved teacher, killed by ICE in Savannah, Georgia. https://t.co/g20AHJpF8V
🚨ICE agents are illegally stopping U.S. citizens and demanding they get out of their cars to “prove” their citizenship… in Shakopee, Minnesota.
In the video, multiple unmarked agent vehicles have a man surrounded while they run his information through a federal database.
A woman drives by, sees what’s happening, and asks the man his name.
He answers her… and says he’s a U.S. citizen.
And yet, he’s still being treated like he has to justify existing in his own community.
And just to clarify…
Agents cannot just stop someone, demand identification, and hold them while they “check” someone’s status without reasonable suspicion of a crime.
Driving while being a POC is not reasonable suspicion.
Federal agents do not get to turn neighborhoods into checkpoints because they feel like it.
When armed agents surround someone, run them through a database, and force them to prove who they are without explaining why they’re being detained… that is a violation of their constitutional rights.
Rights don’t hinge on whether an agent feels suspicious that day.
When law enforcement believes the Constitution is optional, enforcement turns into intimidation.
Stops turn into fishing expeditions.
Detentions turn into threats.
Databases turn into weapons.
Power expands to the edge of whatever no one pushes back on.
And once that line moves, it does not move back on its own.
That’s what people should be paying attention to.
immigrants commit fewer crimes than native-born Americans
the taxes they pay far exceed the social services they consume
they make the US richer
Donald Trump and Stephen Miller don't want people to know that
but Americans are catching on

Watch this racist passenger who tells someone on a plane “I’m an American, you’re the illegal,” get thrown off the plane.
What’s wrong with these sick people?

I’ve been a cop for 15 years.
I pulled a guy over last night. He was doing 85 in a 55. Weaving. I walked up to the window ready to write a reckless driving ticket. Maybe even take him in. When he rolled down the window, he wasn't drunk. He was shaking. "My daughter," he gasped. "She's at Children's Hospital. The chemo isn't working. They called... they said I need to hurry." I looked at his eyes. You can’t fake that kind of terror.
I folded my ticket book. "Follow me," I said. I got back in my cruiser, flipped on the lights and sirens, and I escorted him the 20 miles to the hospital. I cleared every intersection for him. We made a 30-minute trip in 15. He ran inside without looking back. I waited in the parking lot for an hour. Just in case.
He came out later, saw me, and walked over. He looked hollowed out. "Did I make it?" I asked. "Yeah," he whispered. "I got to hold her hand while she went. You got me there." He tried to shake my hand, but he collapsed into my arms instead.
Sometimes, to serve and protect means breaking the speed limit.
REMINDER: “your energy bill within 12 months will be cut in half. I’ll have your energy bill down within 12 months, throughout the country."
It's been 13 months.
Electricity is UP over 11%.
Promise everything.
Deliver NOTHING.
🚨 UNREAL: An American citizen was followed by an unmarked car, boxed in, dragged from her vehicle, injured, and left in a parking lot after agents found her passport.
She was on her way to pay rent and buy a birthday cake for her grandson.
Torn rotator cuff. Concussion. Bruised ribs. No help. No explanation.
This is happening to ordinary people.
This is not “enforcement.” This is lawless violence.
This is unacceptable, offensive, and wrong. Not one more dollar for an out of control, reckless, dangerous agency that is violating people’s rights daily.
Watching the @NBA All Star game and @TeamUSA at the Winter Olympics, it’s clear that sports — just like music and art — still has the power to bring us together, build community, and remind us of our common humanity.
