Party Chair Hon. Rabi Lamichhane received a call from H.E. Marco Rubio, United States Secretary of State.

During the telephone conversation, H.E. Rubio conveyed his deepest condolences for the loss of lives in the Bhote Koshi flood and expressed solidarity with the people and Government of Nepal.

Hon. Lamichhane stated that the Government of Nepal is mobilising all available resources to support the ongoing search, rescue, and relief operations. Along with Nepali citizens, Hon. Lamichhane assured Secretary Rubio that Nepal is equally committed to the safety and security of all foreign nationals.

He also expressed his gratitude to the US Government for its support during this difficult time. In response, H.E. Rubio noted that the US stands ready to provide additional support to the Government of Nepal.
