producer tip, how to break out of a loop
make some arrangement templates as midi clips
then when you're in a new project and have a good loop, but don't know how to break out
just drag in one of those tracks from the template project and basically mad-libs your tune
collabing is great, but be careful of using it as a creative crutch
e.g. not learning to arrange or break out of a loop, by just passing off the project file
to my 100 users, i just updated No Stat Soundcloud to the latest chrome extension version to keep it running
since chrome is deprecating the old one
enjoy :)

can we please bring back the term 'cats' for musicians/producers of a genre (e.g. jazz cats)
like "yeah that was a technique all the wave cats used to use back in the day"
half of having good ideas is not immediately rejecting the ideas you do have
but rather allowing yourself to respect them, give them the chance, and even consider them as worth sharing
trying to grow a creative project is like hiking a mountain where at all times you have a water slide next to you
you can always jump on. you get an immediate cold drink and it slowly slides you back to the bottom
the hike is kind of fun, but man, that slide is very tempting
that's it - i guarantee that if you follow these tips, you will have great chances at sabotaging any artistic success that might be headed your way 🤝
feel free to reply with your own!
4. promote to the wrong people
if you slip and accidentally promote your work, make sure to only do it to an audience that is unlikely to really resonate with your art - such as any random ppl you might know in real life. make no attempt to find a better audience.
