@EmpatheticGmr RPGs can definitely fall into the same problem tho. The player should never be given the tools to optimize the fun out of a game, no matter the genre.
I love you Stelmo, but if the game incentivizes you to play in a way that's optimal but not fun and your response to that is "just don't play optimally" then you fucked up royally in designing that game
players shouldn't have to self-regulate their experience to enjoy it
@Chonko_Blonko Exactly. Optimizing your run of a stage is a massive reason that Sonic is so fun and replayable.
Thus, you shouldn't be able to optimize the fun out of a stage. Flying over everything is optimal, but not fun.
MegaMan fans are the first platforming fans I've ever seen bitch about new and cool movement options
"MegaMan has a loadout now that changes how you can interact with each stage wallah it's over" bro just go back and play the other 11 games if you want the same shit again
Dual Override looks very modern Capcom. Play it however you want with little consideration to level design. Having loadouts in a Megaman game is laughable.
Damn.
@PetBeLike If this is the breadth of the changes they're willing to make to pre-existing stages, then stage selection needs to be much more intentional. This is all still aspects of the current experience that are more than able to change.
So tired of Hoyoverse just ripping off whatever sells well, all without innovating or just making anything of substance. It’s fucking offensive how blatantly this copies Elden Ring, one of many FS titles that made its name by bucking the trends of AAA-slop like this bullshit.
It’s really disappointing seeing how most of the overall gaming community views all Hoyoverse games as complete slop considering that they’re responsible for some of the highest quality games and stories this decade. I get that they’re not for everyone but it feels disrespectful.
It looks neat, but he can hover, shadow dash, etc?... Just make an X game already... Or a new series.
It's really feeling like "is this even Classic series?"
I'm tired of this FF7 Remake revisionism bro. Both games definitely have some issues, but FF7 remake is a blast and Rebirth is genuinely the best RPG and open world game I've EVER experienced.
Better than BotW. Probably the best game I've ever touched. Period.
Yeah it's better than BotW imo. BotW has a genius open world as its base but doesn't fill it with enough (still a stellar zelda game). Rebirth has smaller, more confined OW segments that have far more to do in them which makes the experience of exploring them constantly rewarding
