This year’s prestigious Bee Run was a barn burner and @SenDoronClark and I got handily beat by Nathan Rock. Frida’s form and speed and courage improved dramatically over the last year making for a proud dad.
Today we honor those who have sacrificed and fought for our freedoms and democracy. Veterans have stood on the frontlines to defend the idea of America, where all are created equal. Thank you, veterans, for your service.
During #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth, we honor Native peoples who have lived on this land for thousands of years and who continue to lead and shape Minnesota today.

If you ever get the chance to present with Senator Gustafson, take it. She knows her stuff and is funny to boot.
Thanks for convening the group United Way Twin Cities. Your work strengthens Minnesota.
Strong partnerships = strong futures. Great morning at the Career Academies Kickoff with @SenDoronClark and @UnitedWayTC, uniting schools & employers to give Minnesota students real opportunities.

Fun to watch the Edison High School Cross Country teams compete in the rain.
If you ever need a pick me up, find a cross country race and cheer loudly.
In the picture, the team is celebrating after the race.
Great efforts today team!

Today’s events of political violence are abhorrent.
The unspeakable killing of Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark is devastating. Melissa dedicated her life to serving Minnesota. And this tragedy is heartbreaking for our state. They will be missed dearly.
Furthermore, I pray for John and Yvette Hoffman. John has mentored me and helped me in my first months in the Senate. I wish John and Yvette speedy recover, and I hope that John will be back to fiercely advocating for Minnesota soon.
After a heart attack 2 years ago, it was the nurses who cared for me, day & night, that I remember most about my hospital stay. They put patient care first & I will always have their backs! Today, I joined the line with @mnnurses and colleagues in solidarity ❤️✊🏾
I want to hear from you!
As we head into the special session, I'm hosting listening sessions across Senate District 60 to hear your thoughts and concerns.
See you soon!
