Fellow Nigerians,
Three years ago, on this day, I first addressed you as your President. I pledged courage in leadership, honesty in reform, and commitment to rebuilding the foundations of our economy.
The decisions we have taken since have been difficult but necessary. Today, the signs of recovery, resilience, and renewal are visible across our country.
In honour of this milestone, and as a precursor to Democracy Day, today, across all six geopolitical zones, over twenty groups of strategic projects in energy, health, enterprise, education, and public works would be commissioned.
Under the Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund, four flagship projects today. FEMADEC Energy at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri — the first of twenty CNG refuelling stations in our federal universities. Portland Gas at Ojota, Lagos — a 96,000 SCMD CNG mother station, with a daughter station in Kubwa, Abuja. Ibile Oil and Gas, with its network of fifteen CNG refuelling stations across Lagos State. And Rolling Energy at Jahi, Abuja — anchoring a portfolio of seventeen RLNG and LCNG facilities across Kaduna, Kano and Borno. Together, these projects will lower transport costs, expand cleaner energy, and strengthen our energy sovereignty.
In the health sector, thirteen new projects today across all six zones — every one of them ribbon-cut on the ground today. Six new facilities at our federal teaching hospitals: the President Bola Tinubu Complex at the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja; the Trauma Centre Pharmacy Quality Control Laboratory at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria; the Infertility and Assisted Reproductive Technology Centre at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi; the new Mental Health Complex at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital; the new Administrative Complex at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu; and the Laboratory Complex at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital.
Also commissioned are the State Emergency Operations Centres in Kano, Sokoto and Katsina; the newly constructed Lagos Vaccine Hub in Oshodi; and the National Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance System fleet — one hundred and forty-five tricycle ambulances, six boat ambulances, and seventy-nine new ambulances for our federal hospitals.
Two revitalised primary health centres at Gadon Kaya in Kano and Aboh in Delta State. These two stand for the almost three thousand primary health centres our administration has revitalised under the IMPACT programme over the last two years, alongside twenty-seven equipped Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care sites, one thousand six hundred and two revitalised Level 1 facilities, and one thousand three hundred and sixty revitalised Level 2 facilities, together bringing quality care closer to ordinary Nigerians in every zone.
Alongside these, the new SMEDAN Industrial Development Centre at Ikorodu, Lagos, and additional projects in education and public works being delivered across the country.
These projects are not ceremonial symbols. They are evidence that the Renewed Hope Agenda is being felt in homes, businesses, schools and hospitals across our federation.
Today is the commemoration of our inauguration. It is not a day for long speeches. On June 12, our Democracy Day, we will present our full scorecard to Nigerians.
And so, by the authority vested in me as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I hereby declare all these projects — across our health system, our energy infrastructure, our enterprise, our education and our public works — duly commissioned, and dedicated to the service of the Nigerian people.
The work continues.
The reforms continue.
And our resolve remains unshaken.
Thank you, and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

A young man came forward with a complaint against the management of a reality show, alleging that he won the competition and was promised a ₦20 million prize.
According to him, during the closing ceremony of the show, the organizers presented him with a cheque for the ₦20 million. However, since the end of the show, he claimed he has not received the money despite repeatedly reaching out to the management for payment.
During his narration, new information emerged suggesting that he may have had a prior arrangement with the show’s management to disqualify some contestants in order to increase his chances of winning the competition.
After this revelation, the Ordinary President expressed strong dissatisfaction, stating that such actions would amount to cheating other contestants who genuinely participated in the competition.
Based on this discovery, the complainant was asked to leave the studio, as the program does not support any act that undermines fairness or integrity.
The case served as a reminder that every complaint brought to the program must be thoroughly examined, and the truth must always come first.

Dear God,
Thank you for giving Nigeria a man like Aliko Dangote. Building the biggest refinery in Africa is not just business, it’s protection for a nation. At times like this, we truly appreciate the vision.

Donald Trump’s actions in Venezuela do not make America safer, stronger, or more affordable.
That Maduro is a brutal, illegitimate dictator does not change the fact that this action was both unlawful and unwise. We’ve seen this movie before. Wars for regime change or oil that are sold as strength but turn into chaos, and American families pay the price.
The American people do not want this, and they are tired of being lied to.
This is not about drugs or democracy. It is about oil and Donald Trump’s desire to play the regional strongman. If he cared about either, he wouldn’t pardon a convicted drug trafficker or sideline Venezuela’s legitimate opposition while pursuing deals with Maduro’s cronies.
The President is putting troops at risk, spending billions, destabilizing a region, and offering no legal authority, no exit plan, and no benefit at home.
America needs leadership whose priorities are lowering costs for working families, enforcing the rule of law, strengthening alliances, and — most importantly — putting the American people first.
Yesterday, We Saw Nigeria Working As It Should For Anthony Joshua
It took the French police ten minutes to get to the scene of Princess Diana's car crash, though it happened in metropolitan Paris. Please fact-check me.
But it took the Nigerian Police Force less than ten minutes to get to the scene of Anthony Joshua's car accident, though it occurred outside a metropolitan area. Again, please fact-check me.
It took French emergency response crews 101 minutes to get Princess Diana to the hospital, whereas Anthony Joshua was in a hospital within minutes. The total time was approximately thirty minutes.
Just as Anthony Joshua's friends sadly died on the spot, likewise did Dodi Fayed and the driver of the car, Henri Paul, die immediately from the impact of the accident.
The deaths, both in France and Nigeria, did not occur because of any negligence on the part of emergency first responders. They were a direct result of the collision from the accident.
Both crashes were caused by speeding far above the legal speed limit. Bad roads were not a factor at all in either crash.
The stretch of highway on which the Anthony Joshua crash occurred was very motorable and is a credit to Nigeria.
Go back and watch the video. This was a six-lane highway with three lanes on either side, well demarcated, free of potholes, and with lanes clearly delineated.
So, please tell me where Nigeria went wrong, or how we failed Mr Joshua in this sad episode that some unpatriotic citizens are trending things like 'Nigeria happened to Anthony Joshua'.
Did Spain happen to Diogo Jota?
Did Honduras happen to Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes of TLC?
Did America happen to Fast and Furious star, Paul Walker, when he died in a car crash in California?
I understand that, because of the intense negative slant of Nigeria's social media sphere, where it is easier to trend with bad news, a critical mass of our people has a confirmation bias toward negative stories.
However, please take your time to Google how many times the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency has saved the lives of Nigerians in and around the Lagos-Ogun axis.
They even did this as recently as last week.
Whether it is car accidents, building collapses, or fires, LASEMA has repeatedly done Nigeria proud.
When you make a distress call through the 767 and 112 toll-free lines, you can be assured that LASEMA will be there in minutes.
Instead of this Anthony Joshua incident being an example of Nigeria happening to you, yesterday's event was a case of Nigeria working well for Anthony Joshua.
It should not be every time you run to social media to run down your country. Sometimes, instead of emoting, let us be rational people. Be proud of Nigeria and build her up. In so doing, you are actually building yourself.

When your house is on fire, it would be stupid to prevent anyone who has fire extinguishers to come into your house and put out the fire. It defies logic to begin to consider the privacy of your home at that moment when the raging fire is about to consume your family.
Though funded with state resources, not everyone can beat his chest and say, "I produced 300 PhD holders." This is to commend former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as he hosted over 300 PhD graduates produced through his Kwankwasiyya Scholarship Programme. This legacy achievement speaks louder than slogans.
Truly, investing in education at this scale is not common and it deserves to be acknowledged and commended.
Military arrest policemen on VIP escort duty in violation of President Tinubu’s directive
By: Zagazola Makama
The military has arrested four police officers for allegedly providing unauthorised escort services to a VIP in contravention of the presidential directive on the withdrawal of policemen from VIP protection duties.
Police sources told Zagazola Makama that the arrest occurred on Dec. 17 at about 9:30 a.m., while the officers were reportedly on escort duty.
Those arrested were identified as ASP Musa Waziri and Insp. Jeremiah Achimogu both attached to 45 Police Mobile Force (PMF), Abuja; Insp. Awipi Terry of 21 PMF; and Insp. Hassan Baba of 50 PMF, Abuja.
According to security sources, the officers were arrested by military personnel after allegedly flouting the presidential order withdrawing police personnel from VIP escort duties.
The sources further disclosed that the policemen were dressed in uniforms similar to that of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), allegedly in an attempt to evade detection and deceive enforcement personnel.
The arrested officers have since been detained, while disciplinary procedures have been initiated against them in line with extant regulations.
The Federal Government had earlier directed the immediate withdrawal of police personnel from unauthorised VIP protection duties to redeploy manpower to core policing and internal security operations across the country.

OPERATION PEACE SHIELD: 6 BRIGADE TROOPS APPREHEND THREE ARSON SUSPECTS IN KARIM TOWN, AVERT FRESH VIOLENCE
Troops of 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have arrested three suspects in Karim Town, Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State, for their alleged involvement in the burning of a house belonging to a Wurkun resident in the early hours of Tuesday, 2 December 2025.
The suspects Bitrus Ishaya and Mamman Ibrahim from the Wudumpi area, and Emmanuel Adi from Step 2 were intercepted by troops at the scene of the incident shortly after the house had been set ablaze.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the claims by Bitrus and Mamman to be members of the Taraba Marshal were false, as both men failed to provide any form of official identification. Similarly, Emmanuel Adi, who claimed to be a vigilante operative, made inconsistent and suspicious statements during initial questioning. Their contradictory accounts, coupled with their presence at the scene of the arson attack, led to their immediate arrest.
The act is believed to be a deliberate attempt to exploit the already fragile tensions in parts of Karim Lamido LGA, where incidents involving local communities have heightened security concerns in recent days. The swift and proactive response of the troops successfully prevented the incident from escalating into a wider communal conflict.
The suspects are currently in military custody as investigations intensify to uncover their true identities, motives, and any possible connections to criminal elements operating under the guise of vigilante or community security outfits.
While commending the troops for their professionalism and vigilance, the Commander 6 Brigade, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, reaffirmed the Brigade’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding peace and stability across the state. He warned that anyone attempting to ignite violence, destabilise communities, or fuel communal tensions will be decisively dealt with in accordance with the law.
He further called on residents to remain calm, cooperate with security agencies, and continue reporting suspicious movements or activities to support the ongoing peace efforts under Operation Peace Shield.
