TBH, I don’t see Mastodon as a viable mainstream alternative, yet. Feels a lot like Twitter in the early days with its @ # . jargon, not yet hidden behind simple UI. Now you even have to choose a “server” to get started. It’ll take years to attract non-tech-savvy people.

J'ai été à Antwerpen aujourd'hui, très jolie mais je n'avais aucune idée qu'un si grand nombre de rues dans le centre sont toujours accessibles en voiture, bien pire qu'à Bruxelles à ce sujet. Du trafic partout et des trottoirs petits (et mal entretenus).
