From the ancient time till today Thai not changes their minds in positive with Cambodia.

In July 1943, Japan rewarded Thailand for its cooperation by transferring to it six provinces of British Malaya and Burma.⁷ During this period, Thailand facilitated and materially benefited from Japan’s use of forced labor to construct the Burma Railway, linking Bangkok to Yangon.⁸ Among the enslaved laborers were 30,131 British and 686 American prisoners of war. Of these, 6,904 British and 131 Americans died as a result of brutal working conditions.⁹

Following the Allied victory in World War II, Thailand was compelled to relinquish all territories it had annexed in Cambodia, Laos, Malaya, and Burma. Britain initially sought punitive measures, including extended occupation of Thailand and potential control over the Thai Isthmus.¹⁰ The United States, however, opposed harsh postwar treatment, arguing that severe demands would destabilize Thailand and the wider region.¹¹ As a result, Thailand faced limited accountability for its wartime territorial aggression.

Now, in 2025, with little apparent collective memory of the consequences of its earlier irredentist ambitions, Thailand is once again invading Cambodia.

Cambodia for Peace.

The time has come to say, with one voice across the region and across the world: enough is enough.

The conflict between Cambodia and Thailand has gone too far, and every moment it continues, more lives are shaken, more families live in fear, and more futures are placed at risk. This is not the path our people deserve. This is not the legacy our nations should leave behind.

Today, we call for immediate peace, not tomorrow, not next week, now.
We call upon the international community to stand with us in this urgent moment, to provide support, to offer mediation, and to help protect innocent lives. Peace cannot wait any longer.

Cambodia has never asked for conflict. Cambodia has never wished for pain.
What Cambodia asks, what Cambodia prays for, is respect, stability, and friendship between the 2 nations.

The soldiers on the border, men and women from humble families, carry the weight of duty on their shoulders every day.
They stand in the heat, under pressure, and in danger, not because they desire battle, but because they are trying, day and night, to prevent it. Their courage is quiet. Their sacrifice is real. And their wish, more than anything, is simply to go home to their families alive.

We offer our profound respect to them, and to the leadership, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Former Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, who continues to push for peace even in difficult hours.

Their continued efforts, their calm during crisis, and their commitment to protecting the Cambodian people deserve the world’s attention and support. Cambodia stands not in aggression, but in resolve, resolve to protect its people, its sovereignty, and its hope for a peaceful future.

This is a plea from the heart of a nation.
A plea from mothers who cannot sleep, from children who do not understand why soldiers stand near their homes, from families on both sides of the border who simply want to live without fear.

It is time for the region, and the world, to hear Cambodia’s voice:

Cambodia for Peace.
Cambodia for stability.
Cambodia for a future where no more blood is shed between neighbors.

Let this message reach leaders, communities, organizations, and every person capable of influencing the path forward.

Let us stop this conflict before it takes more than it already has.
Let us choose dialogue over destruction.
Let us show that humanity is stronger than territorial lines, stronger than history, stronger than hate.

For the sake of every life that could still be saved:
End the conflict. Restore peace. Stand with Cambodia.
