Italian Prime Minister Benito Mussolini appoints Cesare Mori as Prefect of Palermo and gifts Mori special powers over the entire island of Sicily with the mission of eradicating the Mafia “by any means possible.”

Mussolini sends Mori a telegram that reads: “the authority of the State must absolutely, I repeat absolutely, be re-established in Sicily. Should the laws hinder you, that will be no problem - you can make new laws.”

What does Sinwar's elimination mean?
- Hamas is over. Forget all the talk that it cannot be eliminated. When Sinwar could not be reached, talks stalled for weeks even when Haniyyeh was still alive.
- If the remaining Hamas armed cells in Gaza continue fighting, they'll have no ultimate goal or motive, they'll be fighting for suicide only and will eventually wither away.
- Odds of rescuing Israeli hostages in Gaza are at their highest.
- With Hamas gone, the "day after" in Gaza (and eventually West Bank) becomes a possibility.
- Judging by past experience and current rhetoric, the odds of Palestinians grasping the post-Hamas, "new page," opportunity to build a state and live at peace with Israel still look very low.
- The end of Sinwar and Hamas will have no relevance or effect whatsoever on Israel's war with Hezbollah. Unless the Lebanese state disarms Hezbollah, Israel will continue decimating Iran's proxies all the way over the land bridge from Beirut to Tehran until it gets to the head of the octopus.
