“Regardless of how we define dryness & sweetness in wines, if a Riesling producer markets a wine that has 20 or 30 grams/litre of sugar and slaps a “dry” label on it, can they fault wine drinkers for thinking all Rieslings are sweet?” ~ #RogerMorris@Battonage @meiningeronline
Drinking trends.
Sad affair.
Skin contact wines. They’ve been around since Roman Times. Only yesterday you thought they were not enjoyable and pretty boring. Now, that’s all you pretend to drink - when asked. Be honest, you’re already waiting for the next wine gimmick.
"The term “orange wine” as a category needs to die. I know, a bold statement coming from a woman who has a section in a published book with her name on it literally titled “Orange Wines.” Trust me, I’d take it back if I could." @MarissaRoss, @bonappetit
“The rise of co-fermentations, @isabellelegeron went on, “is really exciting bc, in a way, it harks back to — you have a farm, you have a few apple trees, you have a few grapes, it’s what nature gives you. Even throwing in some honey from your hive.” What??? No thanks!
