#Breaking: Blast near RG Kar Victim’s Mother Ratna Debnath’s Residence

Five BJP supporters have been injured allegedly in a bomb blast in Panihati in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district in Wednesday late night. The incident took place in Raja Basti area under Ward No. 2 of Panihati municipality.

Later they were taken to Sagore Dutta Medical College and hospital in Kamarhati of West Bengal. Where they are being treated.

Shots were fired at Suvendu Adhikari’s close aide in Doharia, Madhyamgram. The assailants arrived on a bike and opened fire. Chandranath Rath was in a white Scorpio vehicle. Police from Madhyamgram Police Station have reached the spot.

At present, the body is at a City Hospital in Madhyamgram.

Political Analysis: Potential Outcomes and Strategic Flaws in Bengal's Elections

I’m sharing my perspective on the complex political landscape of West Bengal just before the election results. Honestly, it’s quite uncertain right now. While my overall sense is that the TMC will win and stay in power, I do predict that the BJP will see significant gains.

The Leadership Vacuum
One of the biggest mistakes I believe the BJP has made is failing to declare a Chief Ministerial face. In a state like Bengal, having a clear leader is essential. I feel that if they had just backed someone like Suvendu, the energy among the party workers would have been on an entirely different level. Right now, the workers don't even know whose name they are fighting for.

The Sympathy Strategy
I’ve also noticed the BJP trying to capitalize on sympathy, like pitching Abhaya’s mother as a candidate. To be blunt, I don't think it's right. It feels like she’s being played by the party without having any real idea of the politics happening around her.

Lessons from the Ground
From my time covering Sandeshkhali at ground zero, I saw how Mamta Banerjee handled things. Even with all the tension in Basirhat, she simply replaced Nusrat Jahan with another Muslim leader, and the TMC won that seat. Meanwhile, the BJP’s candidate a victim herself ended up losing.

Ultimately, if the TMC can win even when issues like Sandeshkhali are at their peak, it makes me very skeptical about the BJP's current strategy of using the R.G. Kar incident or Abhaya's mother to sway the vote. It’s a messy, unpredictable race, and there’s no telling for sure how it will end.
