@CharlesHawn66@Qubism2294 i use the original 1/8 audio jack out that i connect to my amplifier, but I disconnected audio IN and connected the mono audio OUT channel to where audio IN was connected to have audio on both channels.
Here is my new Commodore MAX. Only 51K of them were made in 1982 in Japan. I was just now able to see if it works because I got the Multi MAX cartridge which has all 24 games that were made for it. #commodore#RetroComputing#RETROGAMING
@CharlesHawn66@Qubism2294 i did a quick mod : cut the RCA jack wire to the PCB and solder a wire instead for composite out. Works like a charn although i'd prefer to have pseudo S-Video like on c64.
@gregnacu Maybe at that time the designers thought having a badline every line (FLI) would be insane and such pictures take too much memory, plus any animations would be difficult ?
For title screes such mode would have been awesome and wouldn't have required a lot of extra VIC logic !
@gregnacu talking about FLI, VIC fetches 16+4 colorram bits per cycle. So it would have been possible to have a very simple VIC FLI mode with true 16 colors per pixels in 160x200 and other simple exotic modes.
