This is a SATIRE!!
He is actually criticising the validity of what the first lady said
"Satire is a literary and artistic device that uses humor, irony, and exaggeration to expose and criticize foolishness, corruption, or societal flaws"
What Gilmore just showed is the literal impossibility of "living a luxury lifestyle" with an Akara business, which otherwise needed to be pegged at a price that the common man can't afford, for it to give a comfortable life in 2026.
The Range Rover, Polanco, Ferrari, BTC, etc.... From an Akara business... Is IMPOSSIBLE!
.
.
The issue is that the country is 80% entertainment industry-heavy
So when satire is used, we take it up as plain comedy. There's a thin line between satire and plain comedy. And if you watch satires closely enough, you'll understand it's underlining message and it will hit you deeper, on the reality of that particular subject.
Gilmore even posted the emoji "🤦🏾♂️" in his caption, to show that it's a Satire. He knows it's not realistic and the luxury lifestyle from an Akara business is close to a fallacy.
.
.
Other skit makers like Cater Efe, Kolu, etc... Did theirs, but Gilmore is the only person that did his with a literary tool and rhetoric device, using humor as the base, because PEOPLE WON'T PAY ATTENTION IF IT'S NOT ENTERTAINING
.
.
Thank you very much Gilmore. We understand your point and we are all working towards a better country and better governance.
