@JamesWilliam2_ Part of me thinks all this was smoke and mirrors. Liverpool generally do not bid if they don't have a base understanding with the club for a player. We knew Barcola was the only other signing we will make and we made some moves to show the supporters that they were trying.
Apparently the “Barcola 29” #LFC shirt sales generated enough profit in the first 2 hours after he was signed to pay for Barcola AND his wages over the duration of his contract. WOW.
We’ve essentially signed him for free, so we still have the entire Coutinho fee for January 👍
Objectively Sarr is not a bad signing, a few years ago signing a player in his typical prime years (27-30) was considered smart. Too much focus on talent, market and value skews perception.
I find it funny with Arsenal fans. They always quote London as the pull and not their club. Weird argument to make imo. Shows the actual pull and influence of the club.
All the negativity asside that attack is looking fire.
Barcola, Ekitike, Wirtz & Isak
Objectively speaking thats as good as youre gonna get ??
How they perform on the pitch comes later...
I don't like transfer sagas and the Barcola transfer is a saga.
I am worried the impact it will have on the player. As it significantly raises expectation and the doubters too.
Interesting to see,if and once the transfer goes through, how will Iraola manage him.
