@JamesIvings I travel a lot & - it depends. Hotels are low floor, low ceiling. If you choose your Airbnb carefully, eg only using superhosts w hi rating it’s generally MUCH better than 1 cramped room w a mini fridge & a microwave.

@wufbro @dailydirtnap My kids are out of the house and I’d love to downsize. But at current mortgage rates, I would gain exactly NOTHING by moving from my 2500sf home to a 1500sf home in the same area! I could move to a less $ area - but I like it here! THAT’S why nobody’s downsizing!

@nickgerli1 Heh this building is on literally the worst corner in SF. Developers did their best to gentrify Market & 6th, but were foiled by Covid & wfh. For the Fox News fans, 90% of SF is lovely - when they want to show its worst, this is where they send the camera crews.
