It’s an unpopular view but Arsenal’s title is the story of considerable overperformance against wealthier opposition - City’s higher wage bill is the equivalent of more than five Sakas
It wasn’t always pretty but it is maximising everything you’ve got

A good summary of the interviews I gave on Today and 2gb on the tobacco excise disaster in Australia. Link to the video in replies https://t.co/sESpaWcvmF via @SkyNewsAust
Surely the Albanese government can’t ignore this any more. Australian smokers are being forced by tax policy into funding organised crime. And all the while cheap cigarettes are available to a now growing group of smokers. Disastrous public health policy. https://t.co/22P2yoQlDh
@drsimonacollins@showers_street@nick_coatsworth agree, but I think a necessary cost given the escalating problem. If the pandemic taught us anything is we can't rely on global supply chains for essential items and we need to build redundancy and local resilience for essential items where feasible.
Yes but this is not a new problem. It has been escalating over time and worse post pandemic and more and more essential meds have shortages. I agree, successive govts have failed to plan a solution. The IV fluids takes the cake - how can we not have a plan to put salt and water into a bag in Australia in 2024 at a reasonable cost?
@nick_coatsworth This is clearly a global problem but I refuse to believe the government can not create a local solutions that put water + salt into a plastic bag to given to patients. I simply refuse.
Agree, this has been a LONG TERM escalating problem due to global supply chain failure that has worsened post-pandemic & an abject failure of successive governments to address, though Scomo & Albo's govts have probably been the most asleep at the wheel creating local solutions.
@nick_coatsworth Agree Nick - this has been a long term escalating problem that has worsened post-pandemic and an abject failure of successive governments to address, though Scomo and Albo's govts have been most asleep at the wheel here.
The Olympic Cauldron was lit with a burning arrow on this day at Barcelona 1992. 🔥
As archery kicks off today at #Paris2024, we're throwing back to that unforgettable moment.🏹✨

Whatever happens on Sunday, it's been a truly amazing season by @Arsenal - such heart and professionalism to bring themselves back into the title race. Unbelievable run since Jan.Can't ask 4 more. Super proud of the team regardless of the end result! #arsenal#EPL#premierleague
Similarly an AFL player knows they are a dangerous projectile at full flight = dangerous weapon. They MUST enter a contest at speed with due care so they can safely tackle or get the ball. Won't make the game less tough, just less cowardly, and will save their brains. Be wise.
The @AFL remains negligent for not preventing concussion by outlawing the outdated bump. Makes AFL players appear cowardly, not tough, bumping players in a vulnerable position unable to protect themselves - the street equivalent of a "coward's punch".#afl

A trained martial artist goes to jail if they fail to recognise they are a dangerous weapon and they enter a street fight, even in self defence, without careful use of this weapon and kill or seriously harm someone with excess force.
