This is something I really wanted to share.
The lady in this photo is a security officer at the Moratuwa Old Galle Road #Cargills branch. Yesterday, when I went shopping with my family, we accidentally left behind a bunch of bananas at the bag counter. It was entirely our mistake.
When I returned today, I noticed that she had been making a genuine effort to find the owner, asking customers who came in whether the bananas belonged to them. The moment I asked about them, she said:
“Oh sir, I’ve been trying to find out whose these are since yesterday. It hasn’t felt right keeping them here because they belong to someone.”
Even though it wasn’t her fault, she took her responsibility seriously and showed remarkable honesty and humanity. She is truly a valuable person.
But that’s not even the best part. Although her role is security, she does much more than that. She opens and closes the doors with a warm smile, helps customers locate items, assists with weighing goods, and interacts with customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner. She provides a level of service that goes far beyond what her job requires and contributes immensely to the Moratuwa branch.
In my opinion, she possesses the qualities of a manager. Even though she is not a direct employee of #Cargills, she is an exemplary mother and worker who gives her very best to the place where she works.
#ABSecurity, employees like her are a priceless asset to your organization as well. Without expecting any personal gain, she contributes her dedication and service to Sri Lanka’s economy every day.
As a gesture of appreciation, I hope both organizations will recognize her outstanding service. Her name is “Brighty”—and fittingly, she is the light that brightens the entire branch. 💜🙏
Note:
This post is written as a small token of appreciation for her exceptional service. She has been informed about this post, and it is being shared with her permission.

Are we so blinded by religion that we justify and normalize the rape of children?
I am speechless at the audacity of these "professional men" to come in front of cameras and speak like this.
We have really failed as a country...
Shameful.
@YRanaraja He would have let us to follow the English language.
India has produced many talents for the global market without language barrier. S. W. R. D did a suicidal attack on the language policy.

Harrison Ford on Donald Trump: "I don’t know of a greater criminal in history. He doesn’t have any policies, he has whims.”
RETWEET if you stand with Harrison Ford against Donald Trump!
The person the Japanese Prime Minister is hugging is a war criminal—a man who suddenly killed nearly 200 children—a pedophile, a bigot, and a money-grubbing, foolish scoundrel.
As a Japanese person, I am ashamed.
23 years ago tonight, in an Oval Office address, George W. Bush announced the start of the Iraq War.
4,492 American service members were killed in the years that followed. 32,292 were wounded.
At least 200,000 Iraqi civilians died. The humanitarian impact was immense.
America wasted 9 years and 3 trillion dollars on a war that never should have happened—a war predicated on a lie, pushed by warmongering neocon politicians, and paid for by everyday people.
Imagine what that $3 trillion could have bought here at home. Imagine the decade we could have spent focusing on America, our people, our place in the world. Imagine the lives our service members, stolen from us, would have lived. But instead, the president took us to war. Yet another costly quagmire in the Middle East.
I voted against the Iraq War. I knew the White House would lie to Members of Congress and voters alike to manufacture the pretext for a conflict—and they did.
Now, Iran is shaping up to be Iraq 2.0—new lies, new bloodthirsty politicians, still paid for by American families. Yesterday, we learned that Trump wants another $200 billion for his war. That's after Congress already gave the Pentagon more money than it even asked for in the budget.
Enough is enough. It is not too late to learn from the past. Stop this madness. Bring our troops home. End this war.
