It was the most carefree he’d ever shown himself be. He hadn’t expected such a reaction.

Galen leaned back in his chair. That red tint was impossible to miss, and he decided to give Silas—maybe also himself—a moment to breathe. He let silence settle between them, then gently broke it with, “Can you tell me something?”
