Yesterday I shared how bots have been suppressing our search rankings for 12 months.

Today we went to war.

What we deployed in 24 hours:

→ Enterprise-grade bot detection catching attacks in real time
→ Cloudflare Pro with custom firewall rules
→ Confirmed attacker countries blocked at the edge
→ Real-time email alerts firing every time a bot is blocked
→ Abuse reports filed with multiple hosting providers

What the bots tried today:

→ Spoofed a Chrome version that doesn't exist yet
→ Coordinated hits from multiple IPs at the exact same second
→ Cycled through datacenter infrastructure across 6 countries
→ Adapted their fingerprint 4 times in one day

We caught every single one.

This attack is sophisticated. It's targeted. It's been running during peak business hours specifically to suppress local search visibility.

6/ How to spot it in your own data:

→ GSC shows high impressions, unusually low CTR
→ GA4 shows traffic from random countries
→ Zero engaged sessions from those countries
→ Zero average engagement time

5/ This is one of the most insidious forms of negative SEO because it leaves almost no visible trace.

No spammy backlinks. No hacked pages. Just quietly suppressed rankings over months.

4/ We traced it to datacenter infrastructure. Filed formal abuse reports with the hosting providers. Reported it to @searchliaison and Google Search Central.
