M.Psych (IO) grad who is now a grown up Organisational Psychologist. Crazy cat lady. Self-proclaimed nerd. Not nearly travelling enough. Definitely not cool.
I’m currently working in the Leadership and Development space, with others in my graduating cohort working in Psychometrics, OD, Psychosocial Risk, Human Factors and more - we really can do anything!
Honoured to have been invited on the Careers in Psychology panel at the UWA Open Day yesterday! Love sharing my passion for psych with the community and hopefully have inspired some to pursue such a rewarding and diverse pathway! Thanks to my fellow panellists and organisers.
What a ripper of an Open Day! Info desk running hot all day, all flyers found new homes, & both panel sessions were completely jam packed🤯😀!
Favourite question of the day "Does studying psychology give you a leg-up socially?" 🤭🤔🤫 (yes it does).
Huge 👏to all🌟volunteers!
While I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last—because every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities.
Thanks to our wonderful alumni for hosting our School's Careers Cafe on Friday 👏! Great to hear diverse experiences, strategies and insights on translating a psychology major into an exciting career🧑🎓. Students got to pick the🧠of this crew & walked away with many👌 ideas! 🎉
Over 650 domestic violence incidents are responded to every day, yet over 80% of women who experience violence have never reported it. @WhiteRibbonAust and @bradchilcott are working to eliminate gendered violence - with a renewed focus on community and meaningful change.
@PersonalityPat Some of my cohort and I were talking about this just last week! I think it also has a lot to do with the types of people we are and our desire to achieve. We’ll never feel like we know enough cause we always want more!
Thank you everyone for your incredible messages of support and encouragement.♥️
Many of you asked what it was like in the ER right now. I want to share a bit with you. Please RT:
A Day in the Life of an ER Doc - A Brief Dispatch from the #COVID19 Frontline:
Fun fact: some people have an internal narrative and some don't
As in, some people's thoughts are like sentences they "hear", and some people just have abstract non-verbal thoughts, and have to consciously verbalize them
And most people aren't aware of the other type of person
