Objectively, how do you defend this:
Miami (10–2)
– ESPN SOS: 45
– ESPN SOR: 14
– Did not play for a conference championship
– Losses: Two 8–4 teams (SMU, Louisville)
BYU (11–2)
– ESPN SOS: 22
– ESPN SOR: 9
– Played in the Big 12 championship
– Losses: No. 4 Texas Tech on the road & in the Big 12 title game
Notre Dame (10–2)
– ESPN SOS: 44
– ESPN SOR: 13
– Did not play for a conference championship
– Losses: Miami (who lost to two 8–4 teams) & No. 7 Texas A&M
BYU had a better SOS and SOR than ND and Miami going into this weekend, lost in similar fashion to Alabama andyet they were the only ones to drop. I get Alabama's resume was good, but the logic for dropping one and not the other makes me feel insane.
BYU has more wins than Miami.
BYU has a better strength of schedule than Miami.
BYU has a better strength of record than Miami.
BYU lost to #4 Tech twice, Miami lost to unranked SMU and Louisville.
I literally can’t find any logical reason why Miami is going to the CFP.
@BYUSportsNation How they stuck together, played for each other and as a result had an incredible season! It was so fun to watch different guys step up in crucial moments. Just a complete team that was so fun to watch! Will especially remember the seniors, those guys are amazing!
Our partner Built Bar wants to give five of my followers and their guests a look behind the scenes at company headquarters, with a lunch afterwards so we can talk BYU sports!
Simply retweet this post to be eligible--we'll select the winners on Friday. #youGOTTAtrythis
What the heck was that? The refs swallowed their whistles multiple times on the final possession. AB is clearly fouled on the putback attempt then there are multiple fouls to get Vandy to the line. That was garbage.
Fun game overall but BYU’s 19 turnovers were costly.
BYU fans (and bots) it is officially our duty to mention Tyler Allgeier on every post relating to the Heisman or Doak Walker awards. If people want to discount last season then fine, but this year my dude deserves to be in every conversation. #AllgeierForHeisman#GoCougs
It’s time for Tyler Allgeier to start being considered a Heisman Candidate.
Allgeier - 1,236 yards, 16 TD’s
Kenneth Walker - 1,230 yards, 15 TD’s
