Two things I have learned in life:
1. Everything a child says and does is an iteration of the same question: "Am I loved? Am I *really* loved?"
2. Nobody ever grows up.
Saya dulu pernah membuat slide tentang bagaimana navigating via GPS worsen our spatial awareness dibanding tanpa GPS.
The sensation ya kayak gini, your senses narrowed down to "tunnels". Sebaliknya navigating manually forcing you to maximizing your senses. Ada trade-offnya tapi.
we need to bring back the obsessive, almost maniacal drive to create great art and serious literature. literally drowning in fast food art and disposable books…literal cultural gluttony unfolding before our eyes
tau silent burnout gak si?
jadi, silent burnout itu dimana keadaan emosi dan mental kita lagi cape cape nya, but you just stay quiet about it dan kita gak pernah yang kayak ngeluh badan sakit karena capek atau mungkin jadi emosi meluap tapi orang yang ngalamin itu kehidupannya tetep berjalan normal tapi hati nya lagi hancur secara perlahan. i think that’s dangerous if we can’t control our emotions.
akibatnya kita jadi lebih gampang nangis karena banyak emosi yang belum di luapin.
js feels like these are two very unsocialized people that i cant ask anything about cause they've never went through the stuff i have. like it just sucks why are you guys losers and why are my dreams too big for you. i really really really hope i dont turn out like you
he pressures me to get the info right; to be sure of myself; to be firm. he cries when hes driving in tight roads even though it was his decision to go the shorter path at the cost of time
Not so much about film but a lot of contemporary/internet art is about “healing your inner child” and “returning to whimsy” “nostalgia” etc and I find it cloying and saccharine
so much art from younger folks is incredibly overwritten. they feel the need to over explain themselves. we’ve lost much of that poeticism or ambiguity due to the anxiety of being misunderstood or worse being perceived as an imperfect individual
