If Donald Trump is worried about “crime” he should start with Shreveport, Louisiana, and @SpeakerJohnson's district — that has SIX TIMES the per capita murder rate of San Francisco.
Congratulations to Judge Susan Crawford on her victory, and to the people of Wisconsin for electing a judge who believes in the rule of law and protecting our freedoms.
This sounds pretty outrageous but if you look at what's happening in this country...from the fires in LA to the man who will be president of this nation again....it's not really a hot take.
“We’re the most populous county in the state, most dense, and we don't have the ability to take mass transit rail service or a rail line into the city,” said Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco. “And that’s just not fair.” https://t.co/eELjcj9VE7
100% true + you can see @LizzieKFoley@julieroginsky posted similar - lots to take in but politics are local in so many way + for NJ to so massively underperform says a ton. For a year our campaign for Governor has focused on reforming the Democratic Party in NJ + we have been spot on. I have said time and again that the dem party in NJ is lazy, ineffective, and leadership has monetized positions for personal gain as opposed to growing the party. Legislation after legislation in Trenton is self serving to manipulate and benefit a few - it creates apathy + unwillingness for local voters to trust them or no infrastructure they can rely upon. Voters aren’t stupid and voters see it. (Example sham ballot assembly hearings tomorrow with legislation already drafted outside of Judge’s ruling)
There were cease-fire protests at this MI rally, first at a Biden or Harris event in weeks, in my memory.
@KamalaHarris’ response: "We believe in democracy. Everyone's voice matters, but I am speaking now.”
I think JD Vance and republicans think there’s a rift between women with kids and women without and generally speaking I think most women have friends in both camps and they aren’t usually shitty to each other about those choices? I don’t see how this helps him, a man, win.
