@Gothalion I think it comes down to the experience the devs want you to have. If your goal is a completely curated experience I understand having scarcity but if you encourage a variety of play more loot helps diversify the player base and encourage them to try new things. But

Regardless I think this is getting away from the plot, to have doubts is one thing, but the dad just seems like a toxic controlling figure, and the daughter is an adult complicit in his actions.
