A major reason that it didn’t make sense to use AI to write an essay about a substantive topic is that until you write the essay you don’t actually know what you want to say or what you think. You think you do, but it is the writing itself that actually gets the thinking done.

@gulshanefilhaal Rust is also not bad. You should definitely learn it if you want to explore low level stuff and systems programming. It’ll be pretty valuable since they’re moving everything from C to Rust.

@gulshanefilhaal I’ve been learning go. I was using python for network traffic and had to incorporate bash for multiprocessing because python is absolutely shit at it. But I honestly hate bash syntax since it’s a pain in the ass then I discovered go can do both and is also easier on the eyes.

Absolutely loved this 54 year old article about a bunch of blind kids hacking telephones. Human beings can do such wonderful things when they keep striving. It’s almost silly how emotional I’m getting over a fun little article.
