My gratitude to Shenzhen DJ Medical Equipment Company for donating 2000 isolation masks. The Embassy has shipped assorted #COVID19 medical supplies donated by friends of Kenya in China, including from the Chinese National Government and some Provincial Governments.

It was my joy to see off 165 Kenyans who flew back home via @KenyaAirways KQ 883. The Embassy and Chinese authorities were on the ground to support with travel documents' verification and reissue of lost or expired travel documents. I'm extremely proud of this team.

I am pleased to report that 161 Kenyans in China will be flying back home on Saturday, 9 May on KQ 883. It's been around the clock, seamless operation, working as a team with the HQ, Chinese Government, @KenyaAirways and the Embassy to facilitate the Kenyans to fly back home.

I have also had very fruitful engagements with the Guangdong Administration, met the Governor and Deputy Governor, as well as the Mayor of Guangzhou. We continue to work closely together as we address the interests of our people and for the mutual benefit of the two governments.

In order to offer real-time support to the Kenyans and see them off as they fly back home, my team and I have temporarily relocated to Guangzhou. This move has ensured that all the passengers have been issued the necessary travel documents.

Congrats to Julian and Kelvin on the birth of their 2nd girl on Apr30! The happy Kenyan couple are both on gov. phd scholarship programs, having been in Wuhan with elder daughter for over 2 years. They are part of the 9 million Wuhan heroes won #COVID19 after 76 days of lockdown.
