Tone Indicators is something I learned from my friends last year, but I’ve never realized the benefits of this. It’s an inclusive way of making sure people know the intent behind each post/text. Miscommunication happens a lot as a human’s emotions can’t be read behind a screen.

In my Interpersonal Relationships class, we looked at a study on stalking people on Facebook. The results looked at the effects it has on mental health. It was done in 2012, and should be replicated to see the differences. I will link the study below! #SMmentalhealth #LEAD301

This situation has really stood out to me as a deaf actor. Broadway has always had issues with access. It is frustrating to see that although it's better, things like this happen. We need to educate the theater community on accessibility. #DeafTheater #accessibility

-disabilities (both physical and neurodivergent)
-LGBTQ+ (there is already progress)
-age differences (most of the jobs emojis are limited to assumptions of age for specific jobs)

@Janevaranie Agree with this! It is hard to reach a good solution as the word "neutral" is not easy to define.

A4: In terms of gender, I talked with some friends about this and realized that the emojis are usually based on one gender or the other, we don't see a lot of options for the LGBTQ+ community. There are too many assumptions on what gender looks like. #LEAD301
