Can finally share the exciting news of the big week that Week 2 was! In the same week, I was made Permanent Assistant Principal at my school AND bought my first home!

Proud teacher moment today! Today one of my students represented CWPS & our region in the Multicultural Public Speaking Regional Finals. She spoke with such a deep understanding & had personal connections intertwined. Very proud to see her progress now as a state finalist!

Year 4 Book Week 2020! Love my team and their commitment to providing an amazing day for our students, including finding all the Wally’s at recess!

One of my passion projects is leading Accreditation and working with early career teachers! Today we invited a panel of staff from the school who are recently accredited to share their experiences from the process. @TheDrainOnEdu

Today our External Validation panel met and I’m so proud of my school! Having worked on all the evidence & annotations for EV has allowed me to see & reflect on the amazing teaching, learning, assessment, wellbeing, community partnerships & engagement across a huge school K-6.

Making persuasive writing engaging and relevant! I bought new books for my class & wrapped them up for the class to use all the persuasive language techniques they are learning to persuade me to open it! To see reluctant writers engaged and enjoying the task was amazing!

Today my class spend time reflecting on what Country means & the difference between Welcome to Country & Acknowledgement of Country. We went over the importance of acknowledging the Darug people who’s land we learn on & created this for us to make into a written acknowledgement.

Education changed forever this week. Immensely proud of our very large primary school providing quality online learning that blends technology and traditional learning. Students, parents and staff all supported. Amazing leadership from the top and weeks of pre-planning.

Week 1 of online learning ✔️. Beyond proud of my school, my team, my students & their parents. We delivered online learning through google classroom in the form of google slides of the day with all attachments embedded. We then launched zoom in 3-6 to connect with our students!
