Hello, this is Kim Donghan
I’m honestly feeling quite unsettled myself having to share this news so suddenly. From the time I first joined WE Entertainment to all the moments I spent together with the WEi members, I’ve created so many stages and memories with RUi.
During my time promoting as WEi, I was able to learn, laugh, and worry about things together with the members and so many things I never would have been able to experience on my own. I think those moments helped me become a stronger person.
Because of the members who stood on stage with me while looking toward the same goal, and because of RUi who loved and cherished those times with us, my time as WEi was a period of happiness that brings tears to my eyes.
Now, I will be concluding my contract as an artist for the time being and will be away for a while to fulfill my military service. I know you may feel disappointed and worried, but I hope you won’t worry too much.
During this time, I want to take the opportunity to look back on myself and take care of myself for the first time. And then I’ll come back as a stronger person and a better person.
From JBJ to my solo activities and then WEi, thank you so much for being with me through all the precious moments of my life. I’ll take care of myself and return safely and in good health.
And I would also like to express my gratitude to CEO Wi Myunghee and all the many staff members who have worked so hard for me over the past 12 years.

Dear my beloved RUi,

Hello, this is Kim Donghan.
I’ll be enlisting in the military on September 7th.
As I sit here writing this letter, it’s finally sinking in that I’m really going to the military.
Looking back, so much time has passed since the very first moment I met RUi.
So many stages and performances come to mind, along with all the moments the six of us and RUi shared together.
There were so many happy days, as well as moments when things were difficult and I had a lot on my mind. But of course, I was able to make it through all of those times and come this far because of RUi.
That’s why I think the time I spent promoting wasn’t simply time that passed by. It has become a precious chapter of my life that I’ll want to remember for a very, very long time.
And the fact that you were there throughout those years, and that I was a part of your time as well, feels like such a great happiness and blessing to me.
Now, I’ll be away from RUi for a little while, but during that time, I’m going to take some time to look back on myself, learn new things, and spend my time well.
Of course, I’ll eat really, really well and take good care of myself in the military too, so please don’t worry about me too much haha
I hope RUi will also stay healthy and happy, each in your own place, while I’m away.
I’ll never forget all the moments we’ve shared until now, or all the love RUi has given me.
So you’ll wait for me just a little while, right? 😊
I’ll hurry back and come greet you again with an even better version of myself.

Dear 사랑하는 RUi에게

안녕하세요, 김동한입니다.

저는 오는 9월 7일 입대를 하게 되었습니다.

이렇게 편지를 쓰고 있으니 정말 제가 군대를 가는구나 싶네요.

돌이켜보면 RUi를 처음 만났던 순간부터 지금까지 참 많은 시간이 흘렀어요.

수많은 무대와 공연, 그리고 우리 여섯 명과 RUi가 함께했던 시간들이 하나하나 떠오릅니다.

즐거웠던 날도 많았고, 힘들어서 고민했던 순간들도 있었지만,

그 모든 시간을 지나 지금까지 올 수 있었던 건 당연하게도 RUi 덕분이죠.

그래서 저에게 활동했던 시간들은 단순하게 지나간 시간이 아니라

앞으로도 오래오래 기억하고 싶은 소중한 시간이 될 것 같습니다.

그리고 그 시간 속에 여러분이 함께 있었다는 게, 그리고 여러분의 시간 속에 제가 있었다는 게

큰 행복이자 행운이었던 것 같습니다.

이제 잠시 RUi의 곁을 떠나게 됐지만 저도 그동안 제 자신을 돌아보고

새로운 것들을 배우면서 잘 지내보려고 합니다.

물론 군대에서도 밥은 기가 막히게 잘 먹고 잘 지낼 테니 너무 걱정 마세요 ㅋㅋㅎ

RUi도 제가 없는 동안 아프지 말고 각자의 자리에서 행복하게 잘 지냈으면 좋겠어요.

지금까지 함께해준 모든 순간과 RUi가 보내준 사랑을 절대 잊지 않을게요.

그러니 조금만 기다려주실 거죠? 😊

저도 얼른 돌아와서 또 좋은 모습으로 인사드릴게요.

그동안 정말 고마웠고, 앞으로도 고마울 것 같아요.
