@787FKA @john__gerrard I'm curious : 1.5M$ for these 3 editions, while World Flag NFT editions (each unique) sell for less than 1 ETH. What's the difference ? (Or some people bought 500k$ the physical screen ?)

@CSA2D7 ok, we're getting closer one from another, though not on the same bench.. (my point being that, apart from artworks playing with smart contracts and the blockchain potentialities, the main innovation of NFTs was not the artistic nature, but the market)

@CSA2D7 Neither between a plain digital object (JPEG, GIF, MP4) and what the artists creates. I'm not referring to art native in the blockchain, but more to "metadata linked" NFTs. Example : Gysin animations, Lorna Mills GIFs etc. The difference is not in nature, but in marketability

@CSA2D7 This is becoming interesting :) So a NFT is a digital object "natural to its state". More simply, isn't a JPEG file thus also a digital object, natural to the state of the work ? What difference, except the NFT is a tradeable object, the JPEG not ?

@CSA2D7 But they're objects. I don't get it, you're saying that NFTs applied to "works that could not exist as an object". Well, for instance, I own 3 Network C physical panels by Casey Reas, a series that was later issued in NFTs. The latter is an "object", the former not ?

Finally grabbed a NFT iteration of "Verloop - Dégradé" by @RikOostenbroek and @meodai , and a nice one, good companion for the artists' book released at the same time (2024) by RRose Editions and @nguyenwahed Gallery.

I couldn't agree more : a Mutant Garden Seeder is a must for any digital art collection. Way underestimated in market terms.

"Most Accidents Happen at Home", and can also reverberate on-chain. As soon as something drops at Jonas Lund's home, one of the 3D stacks topples. Through the on-chain event, Lund shares an image of the drop and its aftermath — was it a cup of tea, perhaps a plate full of food?
