Super pumped to meet PM Modi today. His enthusiasm knows no bounds for the space industry!
Grateful to have the opportunity to present @serendipityind 's replica that will bring the space and pharma industries together.
We joked about my name too.

Serendipity Space had the privilege of meeting Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his interaction with emerging space startups.
His depth of understanding of ideas across disciplines defines his approach to create new industries.
We shared our plan, progress and what's in store for the near future: the space and pharmaceutical industries are going to converge soon.

Having one of the world’s biggest pharma industries wasn’t enough.
So we just flew a pharma factory to the edge of space and brought it back.
Indian space startups are getting wild.
And we are just getting warmed up🚀🇮🇳
Bhubaneswar-based Serendipity Space could become India’s first company to offer LEO-based microgravity manufacturing services to pharma firms, an emerging field globally.

Serendipity Space has successfully operated its orbital class satellite prototype in near-space and returned it to Earth safely. This outlines India's first successful attempt at producing pharmaceuticals outside Earth.
The vehicle validated the core technologies essential for building a fleet of factories in space: advanced heatshield systems, avionics, and an autonomous pharmaceutical factory called Alchemy, carrying blockbuster commercial therapeutics in this mission.
Built, tested and launched in under 6 months.
Next step: orbit.
In March 2025, we first spoke to the team at Serendipity Space. Soon after, we had the privilege of backing them.
And what a journey it has been since. 🚀
Serendipity Space has successfully operated and recovered its orbital-class satellite prototype after a milestone near-space mission, marking a major step toward commercial microgravity manufacturing.
This is the kind of milestone that makes us especially proud to back deeptech founders. Years of scientific ambition have to translate into engineering that actually works, survives the mission, and comes back.
When we first met the team, the ambition was enormous: build the infrastructure that could enable manufacturing in microgravity, from India for the world.
Today, that ambition is a significant step closer to reality.
We’ve been backing ambitious technology from India since our inception, and it is incredibly special to watch a team we met so early turn an audacious idea into something tangible.
Congratulations to the entire Serendipity Space team. We’re incredibly proud to be a small part of this journey.
Many more milestones to go. 🚀
This Indian startup just made history.
A tiny team of 8 from Bhubaneswar just proved to the world that they can manufacture pharmaceuticals in near space.
And they did all of this in just 6 months.
But why they are doing it is the huge part.
Take the example of Keytruda, which is one of the world's biggest cancer drugs.
Patients need hundreds of milligrams of it.
But squeezing that much medicine into a tiny injection is extremely difficult.
Because at high concentrations these giant protein molecules can clump together and the liquid becomes thick.
Kinda like adding too much protein powder to a tiny glass of milk.
But in microgravity, something magical happens.
Those same molecules can form much more uniform crystals - potentially allowing scientists to pack the same amount of medicine into a much smaller volume.
And the insane part is - you don't need to send the drugs into space every time you need to create a new batch.
In fact, Serendipity has proved that you can create like a tiny "mother batch" in space.
And use that same batch to create much larger batches on Earth.
They've already tested their autonomous pharma factory during their near space mission - while safely recovering the samples.
And the fact that Serendipity did all of this with a team of 8 people out of Bhubaneshwar with a tiny budget is kinda crazy.
Next step: Manufacturing in Space
🚨 Bhubaneswar-based Serendipity Space (@serendipityind) has successfully tested India’s first autonomous pharma factory, Alchemy, on a near-space mission.
It crystallized drug compounds and preserved them during recovery, testing key tech for future microgravity manufacturing.
