@japan_nobunaga There is a conviction in liberal American thought - that the poor are simply victims of bad circumstance - and that to punish them too harshly is cruel, since they are just trying to survive.
It’s not true, but many voters have been brainwashed to believe it.
@iamAtheistGirl@FreddyLA7 Atheist Girl - please explain “love” as something other than a biochemical stimulus response (to advance propagation of the species) - since this is what atheists typically believe.
That is assuming you are indeed an atheist as your moniker claims.
@Liberta_Massimo@Heccles94 Tedious is a great description of it.
The constant liberal moral preening about injustice.
Meanwhile the actual data show that conservatives outgive liberals in personal charity.
The only thing liberals give more of than conservatives, is meaningless, useless sentiment.

Watching the unsafe behavior of the kids and teenagers using these, I knew it was only a matter of time.
I just want to extend a thanks to all the parents - whose lack of proper supervision of their children - led to this unfortunate but necessary change.
My wife recently tried to warn a mother of a young girl (8-9?) that her child was riding one of these down the middle of the street and that her child was at risk from vehicle traffic.
Instead of “thanks I’ll take care of it,” she got a full Karen diatribe about how her child has “as much right to be in the road as the people driving the cars.”
My wife was concerned for the kid’s safety but the mother refused to hear that.
Walked into an American drugstore last month.
The toothpaste was behind locked glass.
The shampoo. The deodorant. The laundry pods. The body wash.
I pressed a button. Waited four minutes for an employee with a key.
In Japan, every single one of these items is on an open shelf. Nobody steals them.
If toothpaste needs to be locked up in America, something broke at a very basic level.
What broke? When? And who decided to fix it by locking customers out, instead of arresting the thieves?
🚨 AWESOME! Black father MIC DROPS Karmelo Anthony supporter who said "what do I tell my 5 boys?!" after Anthony was convicted for murdering Austin Metcalf
"I also have 5 boys...I'm gonna try something: when you go to school, DON'T STAB ANY OTHER KIDS. You think you guys can do that?" 🔥🔥
Exactly.

Not analogous to the Rittenhouse situation in the slightest.
KR was in lawful possession of the weapons in a place where he was allowed to carry them.
You can certainly argue as to whether he was wise in what he was doing, but he WAS compliant with the law.
KR was also attacked by ARMED attackers, unlike Karmelo.
Neither should have put themselves in that situation (IMO), but Karmelo’s actions were without any legal justification.
@BenedictPanda@ofcrdeonjoseph It does show a state of mind.
Willingness to bring a deadly weapon into an area where it’s strictly forbidden.
Disregard for rules and social norms.
@obviousfake131@WA_TigerGirl@Real_Ames@FarmGirlCarrie I’m not actually anti self-defense or anti weapon.
BUT in this unique environment of young people, where there was an explicit rule against it, you either obey the rule or you refuse to attend and participate.
A worker who owns a tool, a truck, a lawn mower, a laptop, shares in a retirement fund, buys stock, starts a side business, or saves and invests is a capitalist.
The socialist narrative depends on pretending "capitalists" and "workers" are two separate species when in reality most workers either own capital already or have every opportunity to acquire it.
The irony is that socialism doesn't elevate workers above capitalists. It turns politicians into the people who decide which workers, businesses, industries, and interests get favored.
And if government has its finger on every scale, the question becomes:
Why would giving government control of every scale improve the situation?
Bringing a knife to a track meet shows a degree of ill intent as well as a blantant disregard for rules in general.
While that alone doesn’t make a person guilty of murder, it definitely goes toward his character.
Lastly, while not legally required to speak in your own defense, I certainly would have wanted to tell my story to the jury if my story was that I was being picked on and racially targeted.
But he and his attorney knew he couldn’t sell that fiction.
@DabDaddyTweets@ofcrdeonjoseph A five inch blade is hardly a “pocket knife.” But n any event he didn’t bother to take the stand to explain why he brought it…. So
