40 years in the Military/Police. Proud of my service. I fight for what I think is right not following the crowd. I try & explain why things happen in real life.
@LucyLetbyFOI Do you realise how stupid that sounds.
A woman is serving 15 whole life sentences & the person running her appeal to the CCRC is doing it as a bit of a hobby so can’t be expected to be on top of the case?
Can you see why many lawyers are concerned?
@PhilGriff586@PFM192381 Even AFO’s do tactical refresher (tacrefs) courses every 5 to 10 weeks which also involve shooting. The official requalification shoot is annually. But I’ve never met an officer who shoots only once a year. We also had access to the range off duty.
@James_Treadwell@benshep20 I went to a conference during which we had a presentation on profiling. What struck me was the speakers insistence that profiling should be seen as thematic rather than prescriptive.
This was a really interesting piece which raises lots of things I’d never previously considered.
@LucyLetbyFOI McDonald’s problem is a large number of their theories have already been put forward & rejected. As such that can’t be revisited.
But he is very clear he wants people to contact him in case he ‘missed something’.
Many lawyers find that appalling.
@benshep20@Courtwatch_Olly@CPMorris1234 Another excellent summary of the gulf between Morris’s claims & the facts.
The courts heard multiple eye-witnesses, doctors & nurses, say baby C wasn’t deteriorating. It seems a very high hurdle to get over to persuade the CoA all of them were wrong.
@LucyLetbyFOI Because the only thing that will get this back to the CoA is expert medical evidence. And the CCRC aren’t interested in random theories from nobodies on X. McDonald has turned the appeal into a clown show.
