@schwartz_cio You had Engineers of Victory as one of your reads, I had read it thanks to your input and it was brilliant. I was wondering what other shortlist you might recommend that aren't necessarily directly tied to IT, however provide Value ;)
@BlueJayGal I have stopped going there as well. They have used jeans that are almost the same prices as the stores they come from (ex. Bluenotes) and often you can get new ones cheaper on sale. Books have also been jacked up which is what I used to go for.
@Ih8Toronto @Lee22216157@CTVToronto I am 10 minutes from Niagara Falls and this winter we had a good snow storm followed by a ton of rain. Most Decembers now I can run in shorts one or two days, and if it gets biting cold itโs usually somewhere in Jan. I was also speaking of climate change, not only global warming
@Lee22216157@CTVToronto As a kid I always wanted winter toys for Christmas and loved to skate on the pond. Now the pond almost never freezes, and if it does, its life is short. As for winter toys, I wouldnโt waste my money now, I donโt even buy season lift tickets at the area ski resorts. :(
@CTVToronto Iโm in awe at the level of blind scepticism. A citizenry educated on memes debating medical science with those educated in the medical sciences. Dunning-Kruger at its finest. Next theyโll be trying to disprove the late Hawking using the bible as if it were the only religious txt

Reading and in service standards Disney went from *safety *courtesy *show and *capacity to safety, courtesy, show and efficiency. That is a great way to view capacity as a constraint and efficiency as improvement. A negative obstruction, to the absolute opposite, the goal!
I think there was a failure to arrest the processes by which certain people manage and as a consequence, the failure to also arrest the ingrained habits to choose manual work over automation. Now that behaviour has descended into a state of desuetude.
@dr_robynehd @dr_robynehd between the tears of laughter and the deep lessons, you taught all of us so much. Thank you for resetting the compass, sharing the simplicity of blowing out candles, and helping us find the lighthouse. A perfect end to our conference, returning to work wind in sails
The five common causes of bad decisions from @FarnamStreet's weekly newsletter:
"1. Assumptions based on small sample sizes
2. Wanting the world to work the way we want rather than the way it doe
3. ..."
