today marks the end of one phase of this journey, and the beginning of the next

i am so incredibly proud of our team, of all their hard work and world-class skill that made this moment possible

i am so grateful that i get to work with my best friends (including my wife!!!) to bring real joy and connection into the world, one player at a time

i am so thrilled to welcome new players to our soft launch* of Wildcard, and watch their reactions as they experience the game for the first time

i am so blessed by the community we already have, and the opportunity we now have to lay the groundwork for a much larger community in the future

* soft launch means NO marketing/UA! (well, a few tiny test campaigns but nothing at scale yet). that's intentional, this is just the beginning of Early Access and we have several bugs and stability issues that the team is already working to address via hot fixes and patches. that's the point of Early Access after all!

regarding real marketing/UA, i'm very excited to unveil our plans to y'all soon. pretty much every game i've worked on since Words With Friends has had some kind of significant user acquisition "twist", hack, or as we like to say internally, "unfair advantage" - and i can't wait to show you, our community, what we have in store for Wildcard 😎 soon!
