A few months ago I was sitting on a bench in Tel Aviv with a colleague, and an older Israeli man came up to us and asked if he can sit with us. We said yes, so he asked what we were working on. We said we're making a film about the West Bank.

Why does the United States always single Israel out and subject to different treatment than other countries?

US American companies are prohibited from boycotting Israel if they want to do business with 35 state governments. They are allowed to boycott US, Canadian & Mexican business, just not Israel.

US American students at @Harvard & @Columbia are not allowed to say the "State of Israel is a racist endeavor," which is antisemitic according @TheIHRA definition of antisemitism, or they will be disciplined. They are allowed to say the "United States or Canada is a racist endeavor."

US American taxpayers have given more foreign assistance to Israel since WWII than other other country.

US Americans have enshrined a law requiring the U.S. to maintain Israel’s "Qualitative Military Edge" over its neighbors. The US does not offer that guarantee to any other country in the world.

US American law, specifically the Leahy Law, prohibits aid to any foreign military unit if there is "credible information" that the unit has committed a "gross violation of human rights."
