🚨Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Ferran Torres, Barcelona and PSG.
🗣️“Listen carefully, because I only say these things once.
“I have seen this movie before. A player scores the goal that wins a World Cup and suddenly the mirror becomes his best friend.
Ferran Torres is walking around like the rules changed for him. One decisive strike and now he sits in front of cameras telling Barcelona they need to show him more love? That is not the language of a serious footballer. That is the language of someone who tasted glory once and decided the club must now chase him. You do not behave like that. Not after one night. Not after one goal.
I respect what he did. A World Cup is a World Cup. Scoring in a decisive moment is something you remember forever. But you cannot score one goal and start moving like you are Messi.
Football does not work like that.
I have seen the comments about Barcelona needing to prove to Ferran that they love him, that they need to show him they believe in him. I don’t understand this mentality. Why does Barcelona need to prove anything to him?
What has Ferran done that means the club must convince him of his importance?
Barcelona gave him opportunities. They kept him around. They trusted him even when he was inconsistent. He has missed chances, missed sitters and had games where you forget he is even on the pitch. Then suddenly he is asking Barcelona to prove their love.
No. You prove yourself first.
If Barcelona really wants you, make it impossible for them to imagine the team without you. Don’t go around asking the club to massage your ego because you scored one World Cup goal.
I never walked into a dressing room saying, ‘Prove to Zlatan that you love Zlatan.’ Zlatan knew his value. I made the club understand it.
There is a big difference.
Being a World Cup winner deserves respect. But it doesn’t give you a lifetime guarantee.
And PSG… do not insult yourselves. You let Ramos leave and now you point at Ferran as the answer? That is not hunger. That is convenience. Luis Enrique knows him from the national team, I know, I do not care. Old connections do not turn a useful attacker into the piece that raises the ceiling of a squad that is supposed to rule Europe. You are buying comfort, not dominance.
I delivered at both clubs. That is why I can say it cleanly: neither side is handling this with strength. Barcelona look hesitant. Paris look satisfied with a familiar name. And the player is acting like one World Cup moment rewrote his status.
One World Cup goal does not make you Messi. One World Cup goal does not give you the right to start negotiating through the media and demanding affection.
You either stay and fight for your place like a man, or you leave cleanly. This middle behaviour is ugly.

@MGOBlue2282 @PistonsThoughts It reminds me the Josh Smith - Greg Monroe - Andre Drummond era and we all know how bad it was, although we made the playoffs
OK let’s see:
World’s highest murder rate = world’s highest amount of murderers on the streets
Solution?
Put them all in jail so they can’t kill anymore.
Result:
World’s highest incarceration rate / safest country in the Western Hemisphere
It’s not rocket science 🤷🏻♂️
@PistonsThoughts Since the trade happened the Pistons are 2-3. The Ls were against the Bucks (x2) and the Wolves, all of them by an average of 7.3pts. I don't think the Pistons need a huge trade. They've got the right assets, just need to surround them properly. All in w/ Cade-Ivey-Ausar-Bojan-JD
