Today React is the most popular way to create webapps with JS. Some years ago it was jQuery, which most developers wouldn't even dream of starting a new project with anymore.

Nobody knows what the future will hold, but one thing is for certain:

HTML, CSS and JavaScript aren't going anywhere - so a great understanding of them will best prepare you for whatever may become widely used down the line.
