Satellite connectivity is inevitable and nothing is going to beat the @Starlink constellation atleast for the near future.

In India, even an advanced state like #TamilNadu has connectivity gaps in difficult terrain, especially across the Western and Eastern Ghats. Fibre and towers can't solve every geographical problem.

Yes, data security, sovereignty and privacy MUST BE protected, BUT, surely India is capable of regulating transformative technology without simply resisting it completely!

The opportunity is enormous: remote healthcare, quality education for all, disaster management, island/rural/tribal connectivity, ensuring truly seamless access in places terrestrial networks struggle to reach.

If pricing, privacy and India-specific safeguards are concerns, negotiate them firmly and PUT IN PROPER GUARDRAILS !

OR EVEN BETTER CREATE OUR OWN ASSET ! We as a Country NEED satellite based data/communications ASAP.

Don’t just block breakthrough technology to preserve old market structures. USE IT. Learn from it and CREATE OUR OWN ASSET asap.

I do agree, especially on the back of the US Govt's aggressive moves like the latest H1B issues and other curbs that the US is bringing on Indian Cos, one does need to think deeper before giving free access to large US firms in India.

One thing is CLEAR. GOI MUST***INVEST IN R&D***for such crucial tech and shape it to India’s interest.

That is how we can truly ensure high Quality #ConnectivityForAll in India.
