In '94 @MYANC had a choice. They could remake South Africa according to their own communist beliefs or they could learn from those in power and roll out that which the white minority had created to all South Africans.

They chose the former, even though the latter was tried and tested. They simply couldn't bring themselves to acknowledge that ANYTHNG good had come from colonialism or Apartheid.

When Europeans arrived in South Africa, we had already progressed to the Age of Enlightenment. We brought our technology, philosophy, democracy, literacy, and medicine to a continent which was, effectively, still in the Iron Age. A 3000 year backlog.

But the ANC believed they knew better. They believed in African solutions to African problems. They still do. So they use words like transformation, decolonization, and speak of embracing the fourth industrial revolution where they've yet to fully understand the first.

Africa is falling further and further behind. This Chinese guy points out why. But the ANC will continue to spout their Marxist BS, calling for the state to run EVERYTHING, effectively creating neo-feudalism in South Africa where THEY are the landowner class and the rest of us are tenants of our own country.

It's a race to the bottom, folks. For all except those in power.
