R.I.P Sidney. I became a rugby fan because of Sidney. I followed the Pirates and Rugby Cranes because of him. My son loved everyone, and everyone loved him. Sidney's mother💙🕊️🏉 #NBSportUpdates
I join my colleagues in congratulating Rt Hon @ObothOboth and Rt Hon @Thomas_Tayebwa on their election as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the 12th Parliament. I have no doubt that your leadership will bolster the legislative agenda and promote outcomes that serve our nation's best interests. I sincerely wish you success in your service to our country.
Look at this young life that’s been cut short 😭
That’s Irene’s story, and now she’s gone.💔
Let’s not forget that Irene had a family, relatives, and friends who are now grieving a loss they can never replace.
What’s painful is the silence from some of the very people who are quick to take moral positions when those that continuously take other peoples’ lives die and their deaths are celebrated. When it comes to Irene’s experience, they suddenly have nothing to say.
Y’all deserve hell😭
A bit about what happened on that dark morning of January 16 2026. People can be heard wailing, begging for mercy, explaining, but they still shot them.. #SpotlightOnUgElection26#ButambalaMassacre
Fellow Ugandans and friends of Uganda!
Two months ago, Museveni yet again usurped the will of the people of Uganda and declared himself president on gunpoint. A day later, gripped by shame and fear, the military invaded my home to harm me, but I was able to evade them and go into hiding.
Over the past two months, the regime has looked for me everywhere. They have raided the homes of many colleagues and fellow leaders, mounted roadblocks and spot checks of vehicles and motorcycles, arrested and dismissed the police officers assigned to my campaign, raided our home in the village, and kept my home under siege. Well, they couldn't find me because the people of Uganda sheltered me and protected me.
Today, I am announcing my brief exit from the country to handle important work. Over the next few weeks, I will engage with our friends and allies all over the world before returning to Uganda to continue the push for freedom and democracy! For now, let's remain focused and united.

Here is a picture of my wife shared by Museveni’s son and head of our nation's military, Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
When soldiers on his orders raided our home, they made her to sit down, put her on gunpoint to reveal her phone passwords and my whereabouts, assaulted her, and eventually tore her nightdress shirt while filming. It was only after her blood pressure rose, and she became unconscious that these thugs left her, before she was rushed to hospital.
Like she narrated, these criminals were filming everything and definitely sending them to their deranged boss!
Barbie is strong and appreciates all of you who have reached out with messages of strength and solidarity, as she tries to recover from the trauma.
Indeed, when she swore for better for worse, she never imagined these thugs placing their filthy hands on her. But it happened, and she took it with grace. She courageously confronted the criminals and refused to surrender despite the violence.
Meanwhile, our home remains occupied by the military as they try to hunt me down.
No one is allowed to access my home, not even family members trying to deliver basic needs like food.
In all this, we remain encouraged by our undying faith that UGANDA WILL BE FREE. Museveni and his son will one day pay for all the crimes committed against the people of Uganda.
