The hardware of a full or pruned node also doesn't matter to a miner. Node hardware does mater if you point 100 miners to one.

Perhaps your claim that you've be mining since 2013 is dishonest, for you would have well understood the roles mining hardware and node hardware perform.

Only the FutureBit Apollo III. But it simply combines an ASIC Miner and CPU Node into a single chassis.
The block building is still done by the node side, PoW by the miner side.

We are discussing:
Nodes build/verify/replicate blocks of pending transactions. Miners perform PoW (SHA-256).
@ballyhoobutcher@calibrated_lies An ASIC miner cannot build the block. It does only one thing: perform massive amounts of SHA-256 hashing (Step 3). Miners have no ability to select TXs, build a Merkle tree, construct a coinbase transaction, or build a block. Those tasks require a CPU node to handle.

Step 4 (broadcast to the chain) is a verification and network distribution task performed by nodes.
- Hashing (PoW) is step 3, done by miners.
- Putting into the chain is step 4, done by nodes.
