For Arsenal it would have been a last minute desperate call for a player they considered worth 80m max when it was evaluated.

You can call it an issue or a virtue, but the fact they would go up to 120-150 for Vini or Julian tells me price is not an issue when they see a proper level raiser.

Barcola and Rogers where price capped and their clubs found other clubs willing to pay more than Arsenal. Such is life.

Liverpool on the other hand, are making huge bets on talent on their rebuild. This is their 3rd 120m+ signings in 1 year, and the 2 others did not deliver in season 1. €740m spent since last summer, they have a huge burden on their shoulders with by far the most expensive front line in the league.

🔸White's future was once again called into question. But then, positive signals are gradually returning. Not only does he possess impressive defensive skills, but his ability to play with the ball in the box and create opportunities is always a fascinating thing.
