Found on a recent EICR: T&E clipped outside and already breaking down from UV exposure. This will lead to the cable becoming brittle, allowing moisture ingress, and a real risk of shock or fire. If it’s going outdoors, use right cable for the right environment.

If you are doing any DIY anywhere near a power socket always check for buried cables. Don’t take it for granted that it will be in line with the socket. This is what happens when you don’t check and end up drilling through the cable.

When your circuit won’t reset and keeps tripping. You find the damage is from a loft board that’s not fastened down and caused the cable to break. Fixed the break in the cable using the Quickwire maintenance free 2 way splitter.
