@sofiauhr The first week with cats always suck, they go into exploration mode constantly, try to jump up everywhere they can, and don't have a proper schedule yet. That mostly disappears after a bit! Leaving only cat hairs all over
@AceWcp@_counterpoints_ the psych and politics stuff intermingles a bit, but how about promoting free speech, pro capitalism stuff, anti communism stuff, respecting tradition/the status quo unless you have a very good reason not to - all that jazz is prescriptive right?
@zwolfeksdee @_counterpoints_ Less blind acceptance of leftist prescriptions, and more than anything the insight that the objective world around us isn't the most "real" thing to humans, jbp talked alooot about this in lectures.
@AceWcp@_counterpoints_ You just copied this opinion from destiny, jbp makes prescriptive statements constantly. He literally released two books with prescriptive rules as the main and only selling point.
@bad_as_h3ck@mandogdotcom@2fn2p @MichaelPerss0n @bugposting I'm just pointing out that all of your issues with capitalism might as well happen under communism or socialism, so it might not be the solution :D
@bad_as_h3ck@mandogdotcom@2fn2p @MichaelPerss0n @bugposting Would a socialist/communist system *really* discourage abusing other countries more than capitalism does? Or is it a perhaps a problem regardless of economic system?
@bad_as_h3ck@mandogdotcom@2fn2p @MichaelPerss0n @bugposting Let's say we have a co-op in a socialist US making widgets that require rare metals, and we democratically vote to mine this in africa in an abusive manner to get as much as possible. Who would stop or punish us?
@bad_as_h3ck@mandogdotcom@2fn2p @MichaelPerss0n @bugposting Oh it doesn't, democracy would only help there if people actually care about things outside their own country, which they apparently don't. That's not a problem you solve by changing economic system. Making people and nations to not want power and resources is.. tricky
@bad_as_h3ck@mandogdotcom@2fn2p @MichaelPerss0n @bugposting Thankfully we have democracy to mitigate that. Pretty heavily under attack in the US, but still there.
Also don't forget that corruption isn't inherant to capitalism, it expresses itself in different forms in other economic systems. There will always be people abusing systems.
