One love long live African football ⚽️
This is how a number of African FA presidents have been burning through football money - private jets and lavish travel - to keep Gianni Infantino’s kakistocracy afloat.
The video shows FA presidents from Tanzania, Nigeria and Djibouti, alongside CAF President Patrice Motsepe and FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström.
There is no shortage of issues regarding FIFA. Let me start by clarifying what some of these are from an FA perspective, in particular that of Jordan going into a World Cup for the first time.
We are a small country with a minimal budget for our FA and had to deal with enormous hurdles. First, getting our fans into the USA: not all were granted VISAS, even though they had tickets -which we also know were sold at exorbitant prices. Secondly, we are being taxed by the US govt through FIFA for our participation. Money that should go to players and staff. This was not the case for those who played and set up camp in Canada and Mexico. But we happened to be in the USA so now we face these huge costs in taxes for having participated.
Thirdly we have been waiting for reward money for our players since December for the Arab cup in Qatar, which is a FIFA event. The money our team should receive for having reached the final has not been delivered yet, while at the same time FIFA brags about how many billions they have in reserve.
It is clear the problem really is with leadership. For months, FIFA has been refusing to help us on any of these or other matters- until it was verbally communicated to me during the World Cup that if I endorsed Infantino it would go a long way to helping our FA out.
We pride ourselves in Jordan in upholding ethical values. We did not endorse him before and certainly will not now. But the whole situation amounts to blackmail and we refuse to give in to that.
Eric you are way ahead of yourself you are talking about FIFA ekections and yet football is in a crisis with Infantino summoning Top Fifa officials in Rabat
Do you even kbow if he will survive ?
The wheel is still grinding focus on the current scenario
It’s campaign time at FIFA considering what has happened in the last couple of days. The FIFA presidential elections will be held on March 18 in Morocco.
Timeline and requirements:
▪️Interested candidates must have played active roles in association football for two of the prior five years.
▪️Candidates must pass an eligibility pass carried out by a FIFA committee.
▪️They need declarations of support from at least five countries by November 18. A country can only back one candidate.
▪️A majority of over 50% is required to win the election if there are two candidates which is about 106/211 votes. If it’s more than two candidates a 2/3 majority required in the opening round, with further rounds of voting held until the number is whittled down.

Arsene Wenger slammed FIFA president Gianni Infantino for his initial decision to sell stakes in the World Cup to private investors.
Wenger, who is also FIFA's chief of global football development, claimed in an official press release that Infantino's decision to withdraw the plan was 'absolutely necessary'.
Hope Kenya 🇰🇪 Harambee Starlets will take hard lessons back home.

I can't understand why someone of the intelligence or supposed intelligence of Gianni Infantino thought that Donald J. Trump can be a do or die ally with all the documented cases of how he's ripped Americans and others since the day he was a businessman trying to turn his father's 50 cents company into a dollar.
The only plausible reasons are one Gianni has become drunk with power, developed a God complex and thought he can be another Trump, a man who somehow convinced 70 million Americans to vote for him twice. He looked at football from the view of an American billionaire, that is a game to mint endless money from. Give props to Trump, if he managed to fool someone like Infantino, then the man has a special talent to con.
What was last week a guaranteed third term as FIFA President had turned into a battle to hold on to power.
Or secondly, there is something the CIA/FBI have on Gianni that forced him to try bulldoze a proposal that was dead in the water from Day 1, such that his own FIFA insiders leaked out the details to the media before he had a chance to bribe FAs into adopting it.
Remember, it was the Americans who brought down his predecessor Sepp Blatter by bugging former FIFA ExCo member the late Chuck Blazer and listening in on how they were dividing the World Cup proceeds.
@bedjosessien @ali_naka He is a very corrupted guy, he lost me when he reported an incident on the match between elhilah vs USM alger , he reported something which never happened and i was there , the SouthAfrican gave him something for sure.

While UEFA hard stance against FIFA President Gianni Infantino over governance and commercial controversies is commebdable , European football’s governing body faces its own internal pressures, including financial inequality, disciplinary challenges, and regulatory battles over the UEFA Champions League format
