A new tool Pioneer is developing to estimate corn & soy yields during late grain fill stages.

Uses a combo of imagery (seasonal & historic), weather and aggregated yield data to determine past yields (target) & estimate yields for this season.

For those partnering with your Local Pioneer Sales Rep on as planted and harvest data, this will be available for your fields moving forward.

Just like all AI/machine learning, the more accurate and volume of data in, the better the output.

With all the challenges this growing season in the area I cover, having most fields within 20 bushels of target or even above I think is incredible!

Many fields are experiencing uneven tassel emergence this summer.

This is due to uneven emergence and uneven vegetative growth after emergence.

Causes for this:
1) Wet soil during tillage creating clods & soil density layer
2) Anhydrous burn
3) Shallow/inconsistent planting depth
3) Uneven tillage floor
4) Sidewall compaction
5) Saturated/anerobic soil conditions

If you are seeing plant to plant variability, row to row variability or patterns in your fields then it likely is #1-4.. If you are seeing pockets of later emerging tassels, it likely is #5.

2025 Fungicide trial results from ISU NE IA Research Farm in Nashua...

Average response was 21.1 bu/ac. I know there are customer side by sides out there there were significantly more... and also less.
