@lymanstoneky EV charging stations can be easily placed in any parking lot, trapping customers for 30 minutes, which retail will love. Unlike gas stations, there's no need to constantly refill with trucks or buy dedicated land.
@dillonliam@CAHousingPod Such a bummer! I listened to every episode, it was informative, funny and a great distraction from washing dishes. It was my favorite podcast! Congrats on a great job, please do a reunion tour sometime.
CA is making housing cheaper & easier to build by eliminating parking requirements for new housing near transit and daily destinations like jobs, grocery stores, & schools.
Thanks to the work of @laurafriedman43, weโre prioritizing people and the planet over cars.
Why aren't power outages borne by the heaviest users first? If someone has A/C, a pool pump, hot tub, etc and uses lots of power and taxes the grid, why shouldn't they be first to get cut over people with no A/C?
@BrokeAssStuart There was a bill this session that would have allowed exactly that. CA has 1000 public golf courses, many of them lose money. Yet communities aren't allowed to turn them into affordable housing. Great podcast about it: https://t.co/FiKxwDbr9i. The bill failed :(
