I can’t start a new week without recognizing the exceptional work from our @NEStatePatrol@DEAOmahaDiv Commercial Interdiction Unit (CIU).
Last week, I had the pleasure of riding with these talented, driven, first class professionals and watching them protect Nebraska communities from dangerous drugs.
Over the past 90 days, this unit has interdicted and intercepted pounds of dangerous controlled substances including meth, fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, and others, all destined for the streets of Nebraska.
While most are sleeping, these dedicated members of our team are at the bus terminal, train station, and partner shipping facilities keeping you safe. It was a pleasure to spend just a few hours with them, and our super talented narcotics detection dog “Blue”.

The good people of California have taken matters into their own hands. Workers at a local restaurant helped cops who were injured by the anti-ICE rioters.
These cops have been abandoned by Gavin Newsom, Karen Bass, and the other Democrat officials. REMEMBER THAT!
Initial details on this morning's active investigation in central Nebraska. Excellent teamwork by Troopers and Hall County Deputies to quickly locate and apprehend the suspect.
Our hearts are with the two victims and their family.

NEW: Man with a suspended license joins court Zoom call while driving in his car.
This is the funniest video I've seen in a long time.
Judge Cedric Simpson can be seen dumbfounded after defendant Corey Harris dialed into the meeting from his car.
Simpson: "Mr. Harris, are you driving?"
Harris: "Actually, I'm pulling into my doctor's office, actually. Just give me one second."
Judge Simpson then revoked Harris's bond and ordered him to turn himself into the local jail.
The incident happened in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Calling Sheriffs Office is going to be best bet on getting it removed/towed away. State law allows them to sit for 24hrs only.
It's the #SafetySaturday of Labor Day weekend! Whatever your plans are for this weekend, if they involve alcohol, make sure you have a sober driver ready to go.
