🫸🏼@BusinessEurope keeps calling for a “stop the clock” and simplification of the #PayTransparency Directive,
but Commissioner @hadjalahbib's stance is crystal clear: no delays, no watering down!
👨⚖️@Unionen welcomes the @CIJ_ICJ advisory opinion affirming the right to strike as fundamental under @ilo Convention 87.
Confirms long-standing ILO practice and strengthens global workers’ rights.
Not binding, but carries major legal and political weight.
MULTIMEDIA: Photos and videos of the delivery of the #ICJ's Advisory Opinion on the Right to Strike under ILO Convention No. 87 (@ilo) are available here: https://t.co/gjtyJ1KrKt
🐌Some movement in the informal talks between @aliciahoms, @EU_MarioNava & @GIoannidesCY on the #Traineeships Directive.
But the Council is holding firm against extending the scope beyond workers.
⏭️Next informal talk: 18 June 2026.
🗨️Today, at the @WorkersEESC meeting,
I voiced the concerns of the Swedish Trade Unions
regarding the Swedish Gov/@ninalarsson's decision to indefinitely pause the implementation of
@hadjalahbib's & @RoxanaMinzatu's #PayTransparency Directive,
to be implemented by 7 June!
👏Great to see @VDombrovskis clarify that the push against “gold‑plating” won’t undermine Member States’ right to set stronger social rules.
Better EU rule‑making must go hand in hand with great social & labour standards!
🗣️After nearly a decade of talks, Council @MMousiouttas & Parliament @gabischoff reach a preliminary deal on EU social security coordination.
Next: @RoxanaMinzatu's autumn proposal on ESSPASS, the EU’s digital social security pass.
📢On Wednesday, Commissioner @Teresaribera will point to remote work as a short‑term measure to help reduce energy demand. 👩🏽💻
It is one ex. among several suggested to Member State, not an EU requirement, in response to the current #energy 🔋situation.
Psychosocial risks must be addressed 🧐
but MEP Ceulemans’ report goes too far.
By prescribing how employers must delegate prevention tasks, it risks blurring accountability & weakening the core principle: management holds ultimate OHS responsibility.
🛑Delete art. 15!
#OSH
At the @EU_EESC, we discussed AI’s impact on health & safety.
In view of EP’s work & @RoxanaMinzatu’s Quality Jobs Act, I stressed the relevance of the EU OSH framework directive & that new measures must avoid parallel structures & keep procedures in the hands of Member States!
⚠️Swedish Gov. @ninalarsson wants to renegotiate the #PayTransparency Directive!
She wants to delay implement. & push for simpler rules.
As a result, Sweden’s bill to implement @RoxanaMinzatu & @hadjalahbib's dir. will not move forward at this time.

🆕MEP Ceulemans’s draft report urging @RoxanaMinzatu to propose an EU directive on psychosocial risks is out!
These risks matter, but must be tackled together with physical risks. 🧑🏽💻👷🏼♀️
Moving forward, the role of social partners in workplace health & safety must be safeguarded!
🗳️The @EU_EESC is set to vote on its opinion on @DanJoergensen’s #Energy ⚡️Grids Package.
It sends a clear message: the COM should rethink allocating 25% of congestion revenues to IPCs,
echoing Swedish Social Partners, who oppose this ill‑considered proposal!
📄 Leaked 28th‑regime draft (EU Inc. by @EUCssrMcGrath):
Employee‑related rules stay under existing EU info. & consultation legislation, & national board‑level participation laws continue to apply.
Cross‑border operations must follow the EU acquis.
Further analysis to follow!
📘EU har skärpt reglerna för info. & samråd i multinationella företag.
Nu uppmanar @Unionen & 25 EWC‑representanter regeringen @britz_johan att se till att reglerna blir verklighet i Sverige.
Det är dags att agera! 🇪🇺✊
